The Paris Motor show is happening this week and it is BIG news in the car industry.
The Paris Motor Show or Mondial de l'Automobile (Doesn't that sound cool?!) is a biennial show and it is one of the most important auto shows on the worldwide calendar as many new production and concept cars are unveiled.
At the last show in 2016 over 1.2 million visitors attended, making it the most visited auto show in the world! The show had 125 000 m2 of exhibition space, 8 pavilions, 260 brands from 18 countries, 65 world premieres, more than 10 000 test drives for electric and hybrid cars and more than 10 000 journalists from 103 countries!
See, it's big news!!
A great deal of buzz has been surrounding the 2018 show - here's just a few of the cars we've read about that are getting us excited.
AUDI will be debuting the new A1, A4 and Q3 at the show. It's always interesting to see how manufacturers update tried and tested models. From subtle tweeks to design and adding new features it's always interesting.
Two BMW launches have caught our eye. Firstly the long awaited Z4 update will be unveiled and we've heard it looks nothing like it's predecesor which ceased production in 2016. Then there's the new BMW X2 M35i. Described as "the brand's latest hot SUV, and the first M-badged car to come with four cylinders, instead of six" this unveiling will be sure to draw a crowd.
Mercedes will be unveilling it's A-class saloon in Paris. The A-Class saloon’s styling has already been revealed on the Chinese-spec long-wheelbase car, but a slightly different look will be applied to the European car.
Hyundai will be debuting it's i30 FastbackN and Peugeot will be launching plugin hybrid versions of the 3008 and 508.
Hands up, if like us, you wish you were going!
