The Ford Kuga has been getting our customers excited! It’s the most enquired about and ordered car by a mile. Our alternative fuel expert, Scott Allen thinks that this is in large part because it’s the first real PHEV to hit the UK market that appeals to the masses because it ticks the following boxes.
- Low CO2 (32g/km) = Cheap on Company Car Tax
- Family Size
- Desirable – Ford are generally a known and liked brand
- Whole Life Cost = Cheaper than Petrol or Diesel alternative
- Electric Range of up to 35 miles covers a lot of daily commutes especially if you can charge at home.
The Ford Kuga is a fairly large SUV with enough ‘design’ to make it look sporty.
As mentioned already, the plug-in hybrid version has a pretty impressive electric only range between charges – 35miles is enough to get plenty of people to and from their daily “A to B” – especially with homeworking on the cards for many for the foreseeable future. (WhatCar?’s real life test got 31 miles.) It being a PHEV is also of course attractive to company car drivers looking for cheap monthly benefit-in-kind tax bills.
Overall reviews of the Kuga are positive, stating that it is well priced, spacious, good to drive with an impressive electric range.
