The electric only Kona has a 12 month waiting list and with the diesel model having been quietly retired, the Hyundai Kona Hybrid is a great option to consider as your next lease car.
The Hyundai Kona Hybrid has a 1.6-litre petrol engine and a 43bhp electric motor connected to a 1.56kWh battery pack – the car’s overall economy figure is 56.5mpg.
CO2 emissions of 99g/km, or slightly less with smaller wheels, make the Kona Hybrid a good choice for company car drivers and with 139bhp, the Kona Hybrid also has a good amount of power although is a car that’s reported as “at its best when driven gently.”
The Huyndai Kona boasts a 10.25-inch touchscreen infotainment system from the middle Premium trim, with a screen wide enough to display two sets of information at once. The entry-level SE trim has seven-inch screen and Premium SE is more luxurious with additions such as leather upholstery and LED headlights – but of course, you’ll pay more for it.
The boot size isn’t compromised in the hybrid – it’s the same 361 litres as non-hybrid versions and with 60:40 split-folding seats, the boot increases in size to 1,143 litres.
A solid choice if you’re in the market for a hybrid, crossover SUV that’s a family car that, in our opinion, looks pretty good!
