How to choose the right lease car for my needs

Choosing the right lease car involves considering several factors to match your needs and preferences. Our experienced team are on hand to guide you through - just email sales@ovl.co.uk, call us on 01491 615500 or head to www.ovl.co.uk where you can have a real time live chat - but in the meantime here's a step-by-step guide to help you make an informed decision:

Assess Your Needs: Start by evaluating your driving habits, lifestyle, and budget. Consider factors like the number of passengers, cargo space requirements, typical driving distance, and terrain you'll be driving on.

Budget: Determine your budget for the lease, including the monthly payment, down payment, and any additional costs such as insurance, maintenance, and fuel. Ensure that the total cost fits comfortably within your budget. We always advise our customers on the ‘whole life cost’ of their vehicle - as there’s much more to think about than just the monthly rental.

Fuel Type: Are you considering moving to a hybrid or electric car? Or do you prefer petrol or diesel? Part of your decision process should include investigating which fuel type suits your needs, both in terms of distance travelled and costs.

Features and Options: Make a list of must-have features and options that you want in your lease car. These could include safety features, technology (such as infotainment systems or smartphone integration), comfort features (like heated seats or a sunroof), and fuel efficiency / range.

Timing: If you need a car ASAP you will need to look at what vehicles are available for fast delivery - on our website these are flagged as “in stock” vehicles. If you want a specific make and model be organised and look to organise your lease well in advance in case there are waiting times. Availability has improved as we have gone through this year but some models are still not available immediately.

Lease Terms: Understand the lease terms, including the lease duration, mileage limits, and any penalties for exceeding the mileage limit or terminating the lease early. Choose terms that align with your driving habits and future plans. Our team are on hand to discuss all of this with our clients - there are no hidden ’nasties’.

Insurance Costs: Investigate insurance costs for the vehicles you're considering. Insurance premiums can vary based on the car's make, model, safety features, and your driving history and it is your responsibility to insure your new vehicle once it is delivered.

Consider Your Future Plans: Think about how your needs may change over the lease term. Choose a car that will accommodate any anticipated lifestyle changes or future plans.

Consider a fully maintained lease: A maintenance package means you pay an extra amount per month to cover the costs of servicing your car or van over the contract period. Replacing tyres when they are needed is included, usually even for punctures! It's a good idea if you want peace of mind and need to know what your car costs are going to be going forward. So it's good idea for managing your budget.

Work with us! Our experienced team can work with you every step of the way and will ensure you lease the perfect van for your needs.

By considering these factors and conducting thorough research, you can select the right lease car that suits your needs, preferences, and budget. Contact us today for your FREE consultation.

An update from OVL Group

As we begin the second quarter of 2024, what do we reflect on?

Busy! – It always seems busy at OVL…

Positivity – Our customers are hiring more staff, and feeling positive about the future.

Stock – We are beginning to see stock becoming more available, and lead times dropping, and even some additional discount on some vehicles.

Specials – Because of better availability, we are now seeing more special offers from manufacturers – Some great value deals if you need a quick car or commercial!

Some of our best deals right now are the Range Rover Sport Estate Hybrid , The Citroen Berlingo and the Hyundai Kona

New Brands – We are seeing more manufactures entering the market, and shaking thinks up a bit! We delivered our first Fiskers and BYD’s this quarter…

We look forward to what Q2 brings and it always brings pleasure to get 5-star reviews from our clients. Here is our latest - thank you to Julie for taking the time to share on Google....

"I have been using OVL for decades, they are an experienced group of people who know their market and understand their customers. I cannot recommended them highly enough. I dealt with Ethan Leslie, this time around , a consummate professional, very helpful, very patient, (thank you Ethan) . I gave him our budget he gave me a list of cars that fitted the budget, I researched and ordered, as simple as that. As for Jane England, she is the back bone of the company, a thoroughly, good business woman who can move mountains, and overcomes the insurmountable. Thank you Jane."
