With an abundance of choice out there for those of you looking to lease a new van, we’ve rounded up a couple of the reviews for the Ford Transit Connect (at the time of writing one of our Best Buys) hoping to save you a bit of time and give you a good rounded view of this van which is currently one of our best buys.
So, grab a cuppa and have a read!
AutoExpress
The team at AutoExpress gave the Connect 5-stars saying, “The Transit Connect drives as well as one of Ford's passenger cars, but offers a practical design and well-thought out load space.”
They identified “driving dynamics, a practical cabin and safety kit” as specific ‘pros’ of this van and a con was that some rivals offer more power and more load space.
Two more pluses are the “roomy cabin with an abundance of headroom and some clever storage options” and the fact that “ Ford has managed to inject the whole of the Transit van range with the same responsive, composed handling that has made its passenger cars such a joy to drive over recent years.”
The current Best Buy that Vans4Lease have available is on the 1.0 petrol Connect. Of this derivative AutoExpress says; “There’s also the intriguing possibility of specifying Ford’s impressive 99bhp 1.0-litre EcoBoost petrol engine. Few van buyers will be tempted away from diesel but for light-duty urban work, the tiny turbo petrol can make sense.”

The Car Connection
The Car Connection give a great summary quote about the Ford Transit Connect: “Roomier inside than you might expect, the Ford Transit Connect makes a terrific cargo hauler and a decent option for those looking for a minivan alternative.”
They go on to say that “The Transit Connect looks decent for what it is. Inside, its interior could have been plucked from the automaker's Focus and Fiesta small cars or its Escape crossover, which were all penned primarily in Europe. That means you'll find a lot of buttons on the dash but also a generally convenient feel.”
They praise the fact that the Connect doesn’t drive like a van and that it has “enough space and payload to handle most of what small-business owners will throw at it.”
