Celebrating British Made Classics

To celebrate The Queen's Platinum Jubilee 2022, OVL Group has lined up three special offers all made in Great Britain.

A brand favourite of Her Majesty and punching over 300PS, the Range Rover Evoque P300e R-Dynamic S is a petrol plug-in hybrid made at the company's Halewood plant in Liverpool. Available in August, you can lease this luxury hybrid SUV from £471.99/month +VAT on a 4 year contract. Click here for Range Rover Evoque

Nissan have manufactured cars in England for many years and the Leaf since 2012. The latest model is no exception, being assembled at their Sunderland plant. You can enjoy 239 mile range and very brisk EV acceleration right now, since this vehicle is in stock. Click here for Nissan Leaf

Our list of Great British Jubilee offers would not be complete without a Mini. But who would have thought in 1926 when William Morris founded the Cowley factory near Oxford, that it would still be in use today? Automotive icons from the Morris Minor to Rolls-Royce Silver Shadow have been produced at this great British factory, where the Mini is now manufactured by owners BMW. You can lease the Mini Electric 135kW Cooper S (Level 2) for £294.99/month +VAT from OVL Group. Click here for Mini

Please contact us about these offers on 01491 615 500 or sales@ovlgroup.co.uk

From all of us at OVL Group, we wish you an enjoyable long weekend celebrating the The Queen's Platinum Jubilee.

All about electric cars

This blog shares some key facts about electric cars - we've got some fantastic offers on leasing electric cars right now, including Tesla, Polestar and more - click here for all of our offers

Electric Cars

Electric cars use one or more powerful electric motors powered by a bank of hi-tech batteries.

A fully electric car has no standard combustion engine and runs purely off an electric motor, therefor producing zero emissions. Electric cars are the most environmentally friendly modern vehicle type and are cost-effective thanks to no external fuel costs.

Battery technology is constantly improving and previous concerns over range and charging times are reducing. For example the Tesla Model 3 has a range of between 250 and 320 miles.

Are there any tax benefits?

Yes! Electric cars emit no CO2! That means if you are driving the car as a company vehicle, you will pay no company car tax under the current legislation.

How does an electric car work?

Electric cars use powerful electric motors instead of a petrol, or diesel engine. The electric motor is powered by a bank of hi-tech batteries. These are much more powerful than anything in your home. The technology of these batteries has been developing rapidly over the past few years.

Instead of going to a petrol station to fill up with either petrol or diesel, you go to a charging point to recharge the battery. These charging points are being installed at a very rapid rate. That’s because local councils and national government want us to use electric cars.

Are electric cars good for the environment?

Yes. A fully electric car has no standard combustion engine and runs purely off an electric motor, therefor producing zero emissions. Electric cars are the most environmentally friendly modern vehicle type and are cost-effective thanks to no external fuel costs.

Is there much choice of electric cars?

All the major manufacturers are competing to produce more and more electric cars. Browse all of our offers here.

Electric cars are here to stay and more of them are coming soon, but it can be a complex subject. It’s important to consider which electric car is right for you, depending on the distance of the journeys you make and the frequency of those journeys.

Our team has all of the knowledge and experience to help you to make a decision - they're on the end of the phone 01491 615500 or email sales@ovl.co.uk ready to help you.
