Earlier this year, we ran a poll on LinkedIn asking our followers what fuel type people were considering for their next car.
The results were:
52% of those who responded said they were considering electric
34% of those who responded said they were considering hybrid
10% of those who responded said they were considering petrol
3% of those who responded said they were considering diesel
The popularity of electric vehicles in the UK increased hugely in the last few years. There are over 480,000 pure-electric cars on the road in 2022 and over 880,000 plug-in cars (pure-EV & PHEV), compared with just 3,500 in 2013.
Excellent choice, new technology increasing battery range, a better charging network and the drive for emission reduction have all played a part in the increased popularity of electric and hybrid vehicles.
Whilst our team is fully equipped to advise customers on leasing an alternative fuel vehicle, we absolutely do not disregard petrol or diesel options as we recognise not everyone is looking to ‘go electric’ right now. We are still able to source the best offers and available cars that are petrol or diesel run.
